I have never had to juggle family and ministry until now. I spent my 10 years in missions as a single lady, devoting my time, energy, and thoughts to whatever needed to be done (like typesetting Bibles, etc.). Now my husband and I are heading to the Field together. For the first time, I will be balancing family ministry and outside ministry.
Oh yes, the instructions were to tell of my favorite missionary biography. I think it's the other give-away, "Evidence Not Seen" by Darlene Rose.
Looks like another great book!
I so want to read this book! I have heard lots of good reports about it. Favorite missionary biography is "Evidence Not Seen" by Darlene Rose.
Very interested in reading this book.
I got to hear Darlene Rose give her testimony in person. I do not think there was a dry in the whole auditorium!
I like To Cross the Widest Ocean by Becky Martin and Tom and Me by Billie Sloan.
Read this book on the plane on the way back to the States from our survey/training trip. Powerful, challenging, encouraging, and focusing... left my book in the States, but hope to get the in laws to bring it in the fall.
I haven't read any biographies, but I will make a point to do so this year. Thank you for those who are posting titles!
Darlene Rose's story is so inspiring...George Mueller's faith and prayer life amazes me, too!
Evidence Not Seen and any book about Amy Carmichael!
