His Ways, Your Walk is Lou Ann's new book, born out of a thirty-year ministry with women. It answers commonly asked questions, presents the key biblical passages written for women, and it tackles typical issues. His Ways, Your Walk helps women read the Scriptures and make their own personal applications. It's a handbook that guides them as they discover for themselves how to walk in God's ways.

His Ways, Your Walk is for anyone who has ever asked themselves questions like:
- How can I know God's will?
- Is it possible to live a holy life without being weird?
- Does God have a man for me?
- How can I be sure I'll go to heaven when I die?
- Can a Christian party?
- What do I do with my strong-willed child?
- Does the Bible really tell me how to dress?
- Which Christian ministry is right for me?
Lou Ann has graciously donated three books to our giveaway! I'd encourage you to read her blog, In The Way.

M-F I spend some time in study with my husband first to get deeper knowledge than I can seem to ever get! (I have struggled with studies ever since jr. high!) Later in the day I also study via a verse, a thought about those verses. M-F Pray for missionaries and friends--a couple from each group each day; Saturdays read from Baptist History by David Cummins and the scripture that goes with it; also spend time in prayer for family; Sundays read from Spurgeon's Morning by Morning and Daily Light Devotional Scriptures as well as spend time in prayer for missionaries and pastors and leaders here in Japan.
ReplyDeleteFirst thing in the morning before my feet hit the floor... If my feet hit the floor I am more likely to neglect this precious time! (Sorry, just being honest!) Prayer and just reading the Bible itself, no devotional helps. I so much love just hearing straight from Him. I have used devotioal helps before, but nt most of the time. Right now I am working my way straight through the Bible and just started Deuteronomy. Evenings are family devotion time. Priceless!
ReplyDeleteReading through the Bible using a daily reading schedule. Prayer after reading (sometimes it is in the morning, sometimes in the evening) and all throughout the day. Love talking to the Lord as I go about my day! In the evening we have family devotions.
ReplyDeleteI have a devotion in the morning with our youngest son. The older kids are reading their Bibles on their own. I get the younger one off to breakfast and I do mine. We have family devotions at night and talk about what we read in the morning.
ReplyDeleteReading through the Bible, then prayer time before the kids get up. :-)
ReplyDeleteOur home church gives away a Bible reading calendar booklet each year. Each day has Old Testament, Psalm, Proverb, New Testament. I love this way of reading and I don't get stuck anywhere.
ReplyDeleteI do my best to have my quiet time in the morning as soon as possible. I like to read through the Bible each year. I follow a Bible reading schedule
ReplyDeleteI have my quiet time in the morning. This year I have been studying through Women of the Bible. I also spend time in prayer during this time going through my prayer list.
ReplyDeleteReading through the Bible (but not in a year) only doing small passages at a time and journaling down things that the Lord shows me as I go. I also keep a pray and praise journal as a reminder of all that God has done for me!
ReplyDeleteI am reading the Bible through using the McChenye Bible Reading Schedule!!I have my quiet time in the morning before everybody gets up!!
