This is the true story of a young American missionary woman courage and triumph of faith in the jungles of New Guinea and her four years in a notorious Japanese prison camp. Never to see her husband again, she was forced to sign a confession to a crime she did not commit and face the executioner's sword, only to be miraculously spared.

Nahum 1:7 got me through my Dad's sudden death. That verse was my morning devotion. It was on January 6th, the anniversary of our miscarriage as well as the anniversary of the death in Afganistan of a kid we taught in Sunday school. When I read the verse that morning, I thought it was comfort for reflecting on the past and how He got us through it... Turns out it was for later that day. Oh precious is His Word! "The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him."
