Wondering Wednesdays...

In the interest of asking for prayer and keeping them informed, yet not causing them to worry... how and how much do you tell your families and supporters of potentially dangerous situations on your field?

I guess we don't dwell on the negatives. Everywhere is potentially dangerous, isn't it? God sent us here, and His will be done. We have never felt threatened, and our lives and situations are in His hands.

We definitely don't share all the dangerous or potentially dangerous happenings around here. For example, we didn't tell anyone about a 5 year old getting kidnapped one block away from our house, a few years ago. If it seems like something that will make international news we make sure to share it, or something that might affect our stay here in the country. There are dangers everywhere, and we don't need to needlessly worry anyone, but our families and supporters do want to pray for us, and shouldn't be blindsided if we suddenly return from the field for an issue that we didn't share with them.
