Ok. I can't pick a favorite missionary. We never see the true results of the work of a missionary here on earth. All we see are numbers and unless you are on the field, as missionary supporters we don't see the changed lives. So many missionaries are sowing and someone else will get credit during the reaping time. I just can't pick a favorite missionary. I'm not trying to "sound spiritual" I just think we'll all be educated in heaven when we see what God has seen all along. God bless every missionary who carries the true gospel. :)

My favorite missionary?!? I can only pick one?? I am going to say my very dear friend Laurie Jones. I cannot tell you what an encouragement and an example she is to me. She is a faithful friend, a quiet listener, a prayer warrior, and her love for the people here shows through in everything she does. She loves her husband and her children and she seeks to serve them in every way. I have never heard a negative word from her concerning anybody! A true friend and a dear sister.

There are so many that I look up too. I have friends all over the globe who encourage me too be a much better Christian. I also admire the lives of Betty Stan, Rosalind Goforth, Darlene Rose, and Tana Collins.

Like the previous posters, it's hard to choose just one. But Amy Carmichael has made a big impact on me. I love to read about her and the books that she authored are so convicting and inspiring!

My favourites missionaries: in glory, Wayne Meyers of Christ for the Nations. Such an inspirational man whom I heard speak on several occasions. He motivated me to do so much more to support missions work abroad due to his selfless example.

On earth, the Cormiers in Kenya because I love the Kenyan people and they are ministering to the least among them. I also love the Gimenez' in Florida who have recently done church planting after ministering in St. Barts. They are all truly inspirational.

Of course, it is so very difficult to choose a favourite missionary. The ones I've met or read in blogs or otherwise are all my favourites because of they have answered the call of God to go unto the ends of the earth.

I don't know why but since I was a little girl I was always fascinated by Adoniram Judson.

It's hard to pick just one! I love to read and I'm always reading about a different missionary. Darlene Diebler rose is one of my favorites.

Well, other than my husband :-), I think I would have to say Margaret Stringer. She literally went places it seemed others were terrified to go! Also, Jimmy Rose -- he's a major reason I am a missionary today. He prayed over me when I was six weeks old to be a missionary, and now the Lord has put me in Serbia!

I just read that these giveaways are for US residents only. Sorry I missed that information earlier. I'm wondering though how to follow you on Google Plus. Whenever I search for Baptist Missionary Women, I am taken to Jen Bauer. So I'm follow you Jen on Google Plus :-) Merry Christmas. ♥

Wow! I don't think I can narrow it down to one missionary. The first time I remember meeting a missionary was in VBS when I was about 6 or 7. That made such an impact on my life to remember to pray for missionaries. These days with the internet it's so nice to be able to more easily follow along with missionary ministries.

Wow... what a tough question. I can tell you a missionary couple that has impacted me greatly. Ruth Stewart Favre... Europe during the Cold War. Her book Ready for Anything was powerful.

It would be so hard to pick a favourite as I have read many biographies and been challenged by so many! But IF I had to pick....I would say my favourite are Robert and Marilyn Doolittle (my parents) with whom I got to experience missions first hand and saw God do miracles in provision day after day! Someday I would love to write their biography!

Just one?! But I know so many! I am encouraged by the perseverance of each one. I hear their burden. Many times not much fruit. Many needs. Thank you to each and everyone of you ladies for you dedication and love for the Lord!
