Isn't this nativity beautiful?! It comes all the way from Peru. This giveaway is donated by Elmo and Kat Compton, Church Planting Missionaries in Lima, Peru. Check out their websitehere.
My favorite Christmas memory is from 3rd grade. There were only four girls in my class. My mom let me have a slumber party and made us all matching nightgowns!
I remember one Christmas a family in our church lost everything in a fire right before Christmas. Our parents talked to us and we decided to give up our Christmas for them. I rememmber going with my mom take my rollerblades. I was not expecting anything for Christmas that year and was totally surprised when there were small gifts for us under the tree. It think about that every Christmas!
My favorite Christmas memory was only a few years ago. I was able to spend Christmas at my parent's house and my whole family was there, that doesn't happen too often anymore! We were also able to take family pictures with everyone.
My cousins were visiting from Alaska and we had been together all day on Christmas Eve. It was like 2 AM on Christmas day and we were all still visiting so we decided to go ahead and open all our Christmas gifts since it was technically Christmas day.
My favorite Christmas memories all have to do with my grandparents, and going to the Christmas Eve candlelight service at church before we all had ham and scalloped potatoes for dinner at their house. I still miss them every day.
My favorite memory is when I was little we had a family visiting with us after a church service really close to Christmas. When they were going to leave, their car wouldn't start. As the time went on and my dad tried to help their dad get it started, the snow began to fall. Soon it was a huge blizzard, and in that weather they weren't going anywhere. One of my brothers and I slept in the bathtub so our guests could share our bed and the room on our bedroom floor (we both had larger families, and our house was a 2 bedroom 1 bath at the time. It was fun to do that for others and was the best sleepover ever, except when someone had to use the restroom in the middle of the night... I don't think they knew we were there, the shower curtain was closed though.
One of my favorite Christmas memories is attending a play, about Job, on Christmas day in Sierra Leone. The little church building was full, the people were in their nicest or newest clothes and were ecxited to be in church.
During the years our daughter was growing up we always acted out the Christmas story on Christmas Eve. Whoever was visiting that evening would take part in our little play. We'd end the evening with Christmas carols and a Happy Birthday Jesus cake.
My fav Christmas memory is when my oldest done was 3; He wanted apples more than anything else from Santa. I got one of each kind of apple I could find. His face on Christmas morning is something I'll never forget!

I've always loved listening to Christmas music while enjoying the lights and drinking hot cocoa.
We always enjoy making our own Christmas bread and treats to give away!
