There are so many that have touched my life that it's hard to choose just one. Through Gates of Splendor by Elisabeth Eliot has been a life long favorite, because I first read it at a young age and it made such a strong impression on me.

As a young girl, I really enjoyed reading about Mary Slessor. Two that I have read recently which really encouraged me were To Cross the Widest Ocean by Becky Martin and Tom and Me by Billie Sloan.
Behind the Iron Curtain was my favorite all growing up.
