Anniversary Giveaway #13 - Seal Hair Bows (2 winners!)
Carole, one of our contributors has generously give us two beautiful, hand-made seal hair bows from Greenland to giveaway! Her daughters make these gorgeous hair accessories.
The Lord has been teaching me the importance of keeping my first ministries... My first ministries. He is so faithful! He also blessed us with news that family is coming this Fall!
After 30 yrs there are still times I miss my children and grandchildren GREATLY but God always gives me an extra 'hug' through people that we have come to love here on the field! Who could ask for anything more!
This is our first time to have lost great amounts of support in a 3 month period, but the Lord is proving Himself faithful and we are not forsaken! This is kind of funny, but I told my husband I felt like my deodorant was like the poor widow's oil. Every day (for almost a week!) I thought, "Please don't run out! Please don't run out!" I could see the blue bottom showing through, but it kept coming up! It ran out one day before pay day! He is faithful!! ;-)
Our sending Pastor and his wife (aka my parents) just visited us on the field for the first time since 2004. Our time was very precious and our hearts were encouraged.
Today we traveled to visit some missionary friends. We saw the Lord's hand of protection in allowing our daughter to get car sick to keep us from being right in the middle of a terrible car accident.
We are on the house hunt and the Lord has been teaching me about patience and truly relying on God...sometimes we feel so helpless or frustrated, but that is when we most need to put into practice our faith and trust in the Lord and cling to Him even more. God is good and He has it all figured out, so I don't have to. :)
We got to see our 18 year old adopted Son who's been living out on the street and sniffing gasoline and carburetor fluid for the past 4 years. We were able to share the Gospel with him and he listened. We're praying he will come to know Him soon.
Praising the Lord for bringing our son through another diabetes related episode on Tuesday. Also, a fellow missionary was robbed at gunpoint/machete point the same day, yet no one was hurt. God's grace is sufficient.
